PRENTICE-Mrs. Marion J. Prentice, 42, 1919 Olgilby
Road, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 1961, in Swedish American
Hospital after a brief illness. Born Dec. 30, 1918, in Rockford, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Kuppe. Lived her entire life in Rockford. Married to
George O. Prentice in Rockford on June 26, 1937. Member of Trinity Lutheran
Church. Survivors include: her husband; five sons, Gordon O., Patrick O. George
O. Jr., Michael V. and Mark C., and two daughters, Mrs. Maureen J. Rosquist and
Peggy K. Prentice, all of Rockford; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Fred
Johnson, Milwaukee, WI, and Mrs. Alvin Lederer, Rockford; brother, William A
Kuppe, Eureka, CA; mother, Mrs. Alfreda Kuppe, Rockford. Private services at
1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in JULIAN-POORMAN FUNERAL HOME, 304 N. 5th St.,
with the Rev. O. Garfield Beckstrand 2nd, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church,
officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral
home from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
